Recent Projects


Our clients include local authorities, architects, developers both large and small along with a number of governmental and non governmental agencies and charities. We also undertake a number of smaller scale projects for domestic residential clients.

Below is a brief summary of some of our most recent projects:


Client: The Forestry Commission

Employed as ecological specialists to conduct a full ecological assessment of a SSSI woodland with recommendations for future management. Services provided included vegetation and fungal surveys. Badger foraging assessment and studies into the social relationship between family groups on site. Our team of specialists also conducted a bat foraging assessment and evaluation of current woodland management techniques in relation to bat species present on site.


Client: Rotherham Metropolitan Borough Council

Estrada Ecology was commissioned by Rotherham Metropolitan Borough Council to conduct a Population size class assessment of Great crested newt on a local authority owned site. Our team of herpetologists conducted six surveys to assess the population density on site and provided recommendations on the future management of the site for amphibians and reptiles.


Client: Doncaster Metropolitan Borough council

Employed as bat specialists Estrada Ecology was commissioned to undertake a large scale bat survey and associated emergence surveys of 130 residential properties prior to re development. The project was managed by our principal bat ecologist and assisted by other members of our bat team.


Client: GR planning

Ecological risk assessment and associated surveys on proposed development land adjacent to a water course. Services provided include riparian mammal (Otter & Water vole) surveys along with bat, breeding bird and vegetation surveys. A full river corridor survey was also conducted prior to submission of a planning application.
